01: RECOVER ME
Recover Me is a deeply personal exploration of the restorative potential of sound. It is a piece I return to regularly after mentally demanding days, using the music as a space in which to decompress, reset and reconnect with myself.
Built from slowly shifting drones, evolving harmonics and immersive electronic textures, the piece creates a sonic environment that is deliberately spacious and unhurried. Rather than leading the listener through a conventional musical narrative, Recover Me invites a more contemplative form of listening—one in which subtle changes in texture, frequency and resonance gradually become the focus of attention.
For me, the experience is one of mental decluttering. The dense activity of the day begins to recede, replaced by an expansive sonic landscape that allows the mind to slow down. I find the piece particularly effective as a means of creating a sense of restoration and renewed mental clarity, and its personal significance is rooted in this repeated experience.
